Napa Councilmember Mary Luros Endorses Jon Crawford for Napa County Sheriff
June 9, 2021
Napa, CA – Former Napa County Undersheriff Jon Crawford has received the support of Napa Councilmember Mary Luros, in his bid for Napa County Sheriff in 2022.
In endorsing Crawford, Luros stated “Jon Crawford has had more than two decades of absolutely impeccable service to our community. Jon is clearly qualified to take the position right now and begin work on day 1. I wholeheartedly and unequivocally support Jon Crawford to be our next Sheriff.”
A prominent member of the community, Mary Luros was appointed to the Napa City Council in 2015 and elected to a full term in 2018.
Jon Crawford announced his campaign for Sheriff in May and was terminated from his position as Undersheriff shortly after. Councilmember Luros spoke out against Crawford’s termination, releasing a statement saying “It appears that there was no reason for this termination, other than that Jon is running for Sheriff. Unfortunately, politics has gotten in the way of what should have been a democratic process.”
